Seventeen of the honored legislators attended the event and were presented with awards. We appreciate all those who were present to help us honor state legislators who have distinguished themselves through their work to protect Georgia's environment.

Special recognition also went to Stacy Shelton, who received the Draper Lifetime Achievement Award for her journalistic efforts profiling Georgia’s environmental issues during her time with the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The Draper Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded annually at the Environmental Leadership Awards to an individual who has provided inspiration and leadership to the conservation community over the course of their career.
